Well here it is…5 years ago, I made a stupid decision by stealing two pieces of costume jewlery from walmart. They told me if I paid the fines, they would not press charges so I ended up paying about $ 80 in fines. Well a year later, I was sent a later for a court date which I did not attend, I figured it was a clerical error. I called Walmart and they couldn’t give me any details so like an idiot, I ignored the court date. Well just last week, I was offered a job and then had the job revoked because I was informed I have a warrant for my arrest since I missed that court date. I plan to go to the court house to get this straightened out but I have no idea how I need to plea and if I need to get a lawyer…any advise from lawyers out there or anyone who has encountered this type of situation?? I’ll be calling attorneys tomorrow for any free info they can give me.
