Halloween is one of those North American holidays that most cultures feel comfortable participating in. It doesn’t hold any particular cultural values, such as Christmas, Easter or Hanukah. It’s the one time of year that everyone can pretend to be someone else, whether it’s a comical character or a superhero. Your inner child is released and you can share the event with your kids or alongside friends at a party. The only problem with Halloween is that costumes can be expensive and for one night a year, you probably don’t want to break the bank. Fortunately, there are a number of costume options that you can have fun with and not feel like you overspent on the day.

Paper Bag Princess – The paper bag princess costume is a Robert Munch inspired costume. Borrowing from the popular story about a spoiled little girl, the story is about her transformation from dress wearing brat to paper bag regular girl. The simplicity of this costume is that all you need is a paper bag and to punch holes for your legs and arms to fit through.
